[0:00] I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains, mountains of bronze.

[0:11] The first chariot had red horses, the second black, the third white, and the fourth dappled, all of them powerful. I asked the angel who was speaking to me, what are these, my lord?

[0:24] The angel answered me, these are the four spirits of heaven going out from standing in the presence of the lord of the whole world. The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west, and the one with the dappled horses toward the south.

[0:45] When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth. And he said, go throughout the earth. So they went throughout the earth.

[0:56] Then he called to me, look, those going toward the north country have given my spirit rest in the land of the north. The word of the lord came to me.

[1:07] Take silver and gold from the exiles, Heldi, Tabaja, and Jediah, who have arrived from Babylon. Go the same day to the house of Josiah, son of Zephaniah.

[1:22] Take the silver and gold and make a crown and set it on the head of the high priest Joshua, son of Jehozadak. Tell him, this is what the lord almighty says.

[1:32] Here is the man whose name is the branch. And he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the lord. It is he who will build the temple of the lord.

[1:44] And he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.

[1:55] The crown will be given to Heldi, Tabaja, Jediah, and Hen, son of Zephaniah, as a memorial in the temple of the lord.

[2:06] Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the lord. And you will know that the lord almighty has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the lord your god.

[2:20] Satan and the world have two basic strategies to shut down, to silence, to suppress the Christian.

[2:34] Let me make that more personal. The world and the devil have two basic strategies to silence, to shut down, to suppress you.

[2:46] And the first is intoxication. And I'm not talking about drinking alcohol. I'm talking about getting drunk on the glories and the wealth of this world.

[2:59] Listen to Revelation chapter 18. Fallen, fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, for all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries.

[3:10] The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich with her excessive luxuries. And so intoxication, it's drunk on riches.

[3:24] Drunk on the things of this earth. Drunk on luxury. And when you're drunk on those things, what happens to your zeal?

[3:35] What happens to your fervor? What happens to your service and your love for King Jesus? Well, it dries up. Your spiritual life grinds to a halt, and you get stuck.

[3:53] So intoxication. And the other strategy is intimidation. Intoxication and intimidation.

[4:04] And so here the world, and Babylon doesn't dress up like a beautiful harlot trying to seduce you with her wealth. She dresses up like a terrible warrior. Babylon in Revelation, this woman, Babylon, rides on a scarlet beast.

[4:20] And this beast has seven heads and ten horns. It's a picture of the military might of the Roman Empire. And so if she can't seduce you with her luxury, she will crush you with her power, with her army.

[4:39] And so it's persecution, it's violence, it's death. And what's the point of threatening you with that? And so that you'll be intimidated. You'll be too afraid to obey.

[4:52] And so what happens when you're afraid? What happens to your service and your fervor and your love for King Jesus? Well, it dries up.

[5:04] Your spiritual life grinds to a halt. And you get stuck. Now intimidation is what we're going to talk about this evening.

[5:17] We can relate to that. To some degree or other, we can all relate to that. It's what the people in Zechariah's day faced. God wanted them to build the temple.

[5:29] And yet there were these powerful political forces that were doing everything they could to discourage them. And so what about the people, the governors up there in Syria?

[5:41] What about the politicians? They're saying we shouldn't do it. And so they were stuck in their fear. Saying, no, they're too strong.

[5:54] It's too risky. If we do it, what will happen to us? I know God wants us to do it, but I'm afraid I can't do it. Well, intimidation keeps you from obedience.

[6:09] Fear. Not fear of the Lord, but fear of anything else. Fear of political powers. Fear of the nations. Fear of the world. Fear of your peers will keep you from obedience.

[6:21] It will keep you stuck. And that's what Zechariah is. It's getting the people unstuck. But victory. Obedience. It comes when you swallow your fear.

[6:34] You conquer your fear. You grow over your fear. And you put it behind you. So let's talk about getting stuck and stalemates and being afraid.

[6:47] Just a picture of that. For four years, the Civil War had gone on and on. And things had pretty much, they're pretty much stalemated at this point.

[6:58] At least in Northern Virginia. The North, it was stronger. It was wealthier. They had bigger armies. The bigger population. The North had everything going for it.

[7:09] But still, they weren't going anywhere. They were stuck. They had made precious little progress in fighting this war. And the reason was simple. Because in the early months of the war, several times, whoever Lincoln had put in charge of the North, they'd gone and they had tried to fight Robert E. Lee.

[7:29] And Lee had mauled them. And after a while, every Northern general Lincoln put in charge, which is dilly-dally, when it came time to fight. And every time they would fight and they would come to a place of, well, this isn't working, they would grind to a halt, they would stop, and then they would maybe even retreat.

[7:53] But, and the simple reason was, is they were intimidated. The generals there with their big armies, they were intimidated. They were afraid of what could happen.

[8:04] And so they were always asking, what about Lee? What is Lee going to do? We have to react to him. What is he going to do? We have to be careful about him. Well, then Lincoln put Ulysses S. Grant in charge.

[8:16] And his attitude was completely different. He said, we're not going to wait around. We're going to take this, the fight to them. Now, at one point, it took a while for his, for the people, for his commanders, to get on board with this program.

[8:32] Because they had been trained for years and years to be thinking about, what is Lee going to do? What about Lee? What about Lee? Well, at one point, he's in a staff meeting with his commanders. And the commanders kept on saying, Lee is going to do this.

[8:42] Lee is going to do that. What is he going to do? What is he going to do? They're afraid. They're thinking, all we can do is react to him. And Grant finally had had enough. And he said, some of you think Lee is going to do a double somersault.

[8:56] Land in our rear. Turn our flanks all at the same time. And then he says, go back to your commands and start thinking about what you are going to do.

[9:08] Rather than what Lee is going to do. He wasn't intimidated. He wasn't intimidated. And that's why he won. Now in Zechariah chapter 6, God is meeting with his people.

[9:20] We're sort of in this staff meeting. And we're those commanders that have been too used to, in Zechariah's day, they were too used to not doing what they should do.

[9:30] They were intimidated. And God is giving them encouragement. Getting them unstuck out of their fear. And he gets us unstuck out of our fear. Out of our intimidation.

[9:41] By showing us his strength and his plan and his purposes. And his armies. So why don't we need to be afraid of the world and their power and their armies and their might.

[9:54] Death. Even everything that they can do. Because God says, look at what I'm going to do. Look at my power. Look at my armies. Look at my plan.

[10:06] So don't be afraid. Work on the temple. Get to work. Do what I've called you to do. Put your fear behind you and get to work. Because look at what I am going to do for you.

[10:16] For my people in the future. Now Zechariah 6. It begins with the last of a series of these eight visions. You remember it was February 15th.

[10:32] Zechariah narrowed it down to the very day. February 15th. 523 B.C. Zechariah fell asleep. And in the night. A series of visions came to him.

[10:43] The word of the Lord came to him. Now this last vision was very much like the very first vision that we saw. In the first vision there were horses.

[10:55] And they were different colors. There's four groups of horses. And in the first vision what had the horses done? Well they had gone on patrol. They had reconnaissance. The whole earth.

[11:06] They had gone out. And what had they found? They found everywhere they went. The nations were at rest. The nations were at peace. And yes they're opposing God.

[11:17] Yes they couldn't give two hoots about God's people. They have their boots on God's people's throat. But life was good. It's a picture of the nations then. It's a picture of our nations now.

[11:29] Resting. Resting in their power. Complacent in their power. Now in this last vision we see the. See horses again. Four groups of horses.

[11:42] Four different colored horses. But now they aren't on patrol. They aren't on reconnaissance. They aren't trying to figure out what the world is going to do.

[11:53] That these horses are hooked up. To chariots. Now chariots. It doesn't mean a chariot race is coming. It doesn't.

[12:04] You don't get in a chariot to go on a nice Sunday afternoon drive. You don't drive Miss Daisy in a chariot. Chariots mean war. So a modern day chariot.

[12:17] Would be a tank. So imagine that. Do you get the picture? The different colored tanks rolling out of heaven. You wouldn't be thinking. I wonder what these tanks are going to be doing.

[12:30] Well these four chariots represent just a small. It's just a small representation. A small picture. Of all the armies of heaven. God has a lot more chariots.

[12:42] It's a lot bigger army. Psalm 68 says the chariots of God are tens of thousands. Tens of thousands. And thousands of thousands.

[12:53] Now you remember the story of Elisha. And his servant. And the army. And they're trapped in the town.

[13:04] And Elisha prayed for the servant to have his eyes opened up. And this is what they saw. The hills were full of horses. Not just like a single line.

[13:15] And it was the hills were full of horses and chariots of fire. All around Elisha. It's the army of God. So that's what we see.

[13:27] And now I want you to look next at the colors. The colors. Now. The colors may or may not.

[13:38] Have a specific meaning. Here in Zechariah. But. What helps us to understand. What is going on here. What helps us to see. And kind of explain this picture in full.

[13:51] Is that. Revelation takes. This little picture. And it echoes it. It picks it up. And it uses these horses.

[14:01] In a fuller way. So in Revelation 6. That's where the famous four horsemen of the apocalypse is. The four horsemen.

[14:12] In Revelation 6. John says. I looked up and there before me was a white horse. And its rider held a bow. And he was given a crown. And he rode out as a conqueror.

[14:22] Bent on conquest. I'm pretty sure. Although there's some people that would disagree with me. But I think. And I'm fairly certain. And this is not a picture of Jesus and the gospel.

[14:33] Going to the ends of the earth. Like some have said. It is a picture of a king. Riding to conquer a people. But. Jesus and the gospel. Doesn't necessarily fit in with. All the rest of the horses.

[14:43] This is a picture. This is the beginning. Of God's judgment. On the nations. And so when a king. Invades another kingdom. To take it for his own. It's not peace.

[14:55] It's war. And it's not prosperity. It's poverty. It's death. It's destruction. And so. What has the long history of the world been? But kings invading.

[15:07] Other kings. Then John saw. A red horse. And he was given power to take peace from the earth. And to make men slay each other. Red is for blood.

[15:18] Next came the black horse in Revelation 6. And the black rider comes with a pair of scales. A pair of scales. So you would go to the market. And so much food.

[15:29] For so much money. And so he has this pair of scales. And a voice cries out. A quart of wheat. For a day's wages. A quart of wheat would be probably enough to feed your family one small meal.

[15:43] Now men. Can you imagine if you went to work all day. And food was so expensive. And so scarce. That your whole day's labor could provide one small meal for your entire family.

[15:55] So it's a picture of famine. A food shortage. And then the last horse in Revelation. Is pale. It's a combination of.

[16:06] These colors. And the Greek is chloris. It's pale. Whitish. Green. Green. Have you ever seen. Someone that's whitish.

[16:18] Green. What has just recently happened to them. They've died. And this rider's name was death. Now in Revelation. When the four horsemen ride.

[16:29] It's the beginning of God's judgment on the nations. Now in Zechariah. You see sort of an earlier version. Of that. But now they aren't. Just horses.

[16:39] They are hitched up to these chariots. And it says they came out. And they came out from behind. From between these two bronze mountains. And verse five says. They were.

[16:50] They had been standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. They've been standing in the presence of the Lord. And now they come out. Between these two huge mountains. And so. It's clearly a picture of the angels of heaven.

[17:03] And they've. They've got their mission. They had been standing before the Lord. And the Lord had told them what they were going to do. And now they've received their orders. They're leaving the heavenly temple. And they are invading earth.

[17:15] They're invading earth. They're coming between these two bronze mountains. And what does that mean? Well. In Solomon's temple. There weren't two bronze mountains.

[17:26] There were two. Huge bronze pillars. Right at the gate. Huge. 25 feet tall. Six feet.

[17:37] In diameter. 18-ish feet. Around. These huge. Gigantic. Imposing. Pillars of bronze. And each had a name.

[17:50] One. Jachin. It means. He establishes. So who builds. And it is established. Whose kingdom cannot fall.

[18:03] It's the Lord. He establishes. He builds his kingdom. And so his kingdom is as firm. And unmoving. As this pillar of bronze. Now think about how many kingdoms have come and gone.

[18:17] Since then. And yet here is the kingdom of the Lord. He establishes it. The other pillar's name was Boaz. Now you remember Ruth's husband. Boaz. Here's another Boaz.

[18:29] And Boaz means that him is strength. And him is strength. And so Solomon's temple. Is this pale reflection. Of the heavenly temple. So when you looked at.

[18:40] The earthly temple. You saw something. Of what it's like. In the heavenly temple. And so the chariots. They're not coming out from between two bronze pillars. They're coming out from between two bronze mountains.

[18:54] And if the pillar said. He is strong. And his kingdom is established. Then these mountains are shouting that very same thing. So the two pillars means he establishes.

[19:07] He's in strength. And so. The angels are riding. To establish God's kingdom. To establish it. To make it firm.

[19:17] And he is. They're riding to exercise. To wield. The power. And the strength of God. And so. Intimidated.

[19:29] Are you intimidated? Zacharias says. Look at your God. Look at his armies. He's the Lord of the whole earth.

[19:41] His throne room isn't in Washington. It's not in London. It's not in Moscow. His throne room is in the heavens.

[19:51] And he rules over all. He's the Lord of the whole earth. His kingdom isn't in Palestine. His kingdom isn't even confined to the church.

[20:02] It isn't just the church. He's the Lord of the whole world. But the nations are in a rage. They are in rebellion. They're fighting.

[20:12] They don't want this king. And. We receive the shrapnel. We receive the explosions. We receive the hatred.

[20:23] They have the boot on our throats. Romans says. We are led like lambs to the slaughter. But only for a time. Only for a time. Satan's time is short.

[20:35] The nation's time is so short. It seems long to us. Because we're very short-lived creatures. But it's just the short time. And Satan knows how short of a time he is.

[20:46] He's not under some sort of disillusion. Or some sort of illusion. That he's going to be able to do this forever. Do you realize that? Satan knows how brief his time is.

[20:58] He doesn't feel it like a long time. He feels it like a short time. And so Satan deceives the nations. They're at war against God and his people. And if that's all we saw. If all we were looking at was Satan.

[21:10] And what he's going to do. And what he could do. And what the nations could do. Then we have every reason to be intimidated. Because they are greater than us. And stronger than us. We would have every reason to live in fear.

[21:24] But who is our God? The Lord Sabaoth. Remember that? Fifty some times in Zechariah. That's the name that's given to him.

[21:35] The Lord Almighty. The Lord of angel armies. The Lord of the hosts of heaven. You remember again and again. That's his name in Zechariah. God says, look at who I am. I'm the Lord of all these armies.

[21:48] And they are coming in judgment. They are coming against the nations. It says they're going to go into all the four directions. But north is pointed out specifically. If you have the ESV.

[22:01] It's two times. And if you look at the note. And the NIV. It says that two groups of horses went to the north. But whatever the case. The north is pointed out specifically.

[22:12] Because that's where the Babylonians came from. That's where the Assyrians came from. That's where the enemies of God came and took over from. So often.

[22:24] Now in apocalyptic literature. So in books like Daniel. And Ezekiel. And Zechariah. And Revelation. Books like that. With those weird pictures.

[22:36] God's enemies always come from the north. And it's like the strongest. The strongest. And the worst enemies are from the farthest north. So it's like sort of the farther north you are.

[22:46] The worst kind of enemy you are. So. Revelation and Ezekiel talk about Gog and Magog. Those were like nations that were on the edge of the map for the Israelites.

[22:57] Those were as far north as you could think of. Those were sort of like the last enemies. The furthest north. They're the final ones. But Zechariah says the Lord's armies are going to go to the north.

[23:10] As far north as you can go. They're going to go to the very north. And the armies of the Lord. Are they afraid? So this great battle is coming. Between the enemies of God. And God and his armies.

[23:21] Is the Lord. Are these armies afraid? Verse 7 says. When the powerful horses went out. They were straining to go throughout the earth. They want to go.

[23:34] Throughout the whole earth. They're yearning to go. And he's holding them back now. He is holding them back now. It's not because the armies of the Lord are afraid.

[23:45] That they haven't come. It's not because they're unwilling. That they haven't come. The Lord is saying patience.

[23:56] Patience. Patience. Remember Jesus? Don't you think I could call 12 legions of angels? They're going to come. If I call them. But one day Zechariah says.

[24:10] They're going to stop being held back. And they're going to come. And they will race to the very ends of the earth. And they have come to establish the kingdom of King Jesus.

[24:21] And they're going to do that. Over. The broken bodies. And the broken bones of God's enemies.

[24:33] They're going to do it on the ashes. Of all the kingdoms. Of this world. The presidents. The dictators.

[24:46] The parliaments. The congresses of the world. Will fall. One. By. One. In Joshua 12.

[24:58] Maybe you haven't read that in a long time. But there's a scorecard. There's a scorecard there. So you're reading the newspaper. There's the scorecard. And it's this battle.

[25:09] Or it's this. Let's. Let's. See how. How the two sides are doing. It's God's army. Even his earthly army. God's earthly army. Versus the kings of the nations.

[25:21] And it says. The king of Jericho. One. The king of Ai. One. The king of Jerusalem. One. These are all the kings that they've taken. And on and on it goes.

[25:33] Hebron. Lachish. Gezer. Arad. One. One. One. One by one. Until there's the whole list.

[25:43] 31 of them. That's what's coming. Great men. Powerful men. Rich men. Who could buy injustice. The highest levels of power and pride.

[25:55] All destroyed. That is what is coming. And look at how it ends. Versus. Verse eight. When the war is over. What happens after a war is over?

[26:08] There's peace. Verse eight ends with peace. With rest. The verse. The first vision. Remember how the first vision went? What did those angel riders.

[26:21] Horses. Horsemen. Find when they went throughout the earth. The nations are at rest. They're at peace. They're satisfied. But now look who is at rest.

[26:32] Now that this war is over. And his army has gone out. Who is at rest? It's God's spirit. Now that same word. This word rest. Is used for David.

[26:43] Remember when God established David's kingdom. And all of his enemies were put under his feet. And God says. And David. Or the writer says. And David had rest.

[26:54] There was rest. And the same word is used when God gave Solomon rest from all of his enemies. They're under David's feet. They're under Solomon's feet. They're put down.

[27:05] And now there is peace. And that's the picture here. God's spirit in a way doesn't have rest. Doesn't have peace. As long as the enemies of God are running around in the world.

[27:15] And the rebellion is still going on. His kingdom doesn't have peace. But with this last ride. With this last invasion. God is saying. My enemies will be at my feet.

[27:28] I will dash them. With the iron scepter. Pieces of pottery. They'll be at my feet. And if they don't bow. Their kneecaps will be broken. And down they will go.

[27:39] And then my kingdom will be established. And so now there's nothing but peace. What did Jesus say?

[27:53] There's always going to be wars. And rumors of war. All the way to the end. But then there's going to be peace. And the raging sea.

[28:06] All this humanity. And it's rebellion. Be like a glass. A sea of glass. And God will put his rainbow in the sky. There will be forever peace.

[28:19] There will be a peace that will never end. And then Jesus will be called the prince of peace. Because he will rule over this peace. He will establish this peace. Now with that.

[28:31] Zechariah woke up. Can you imagine that? I'm sure you've had some doozies of a night. Dreams. But. What a night.

[28:43] We started this series of visions. Two months ago. And if I counted right. It's been eight sermons. But Zechariah got it all in one night.

[28:54] And so can you imagine how he felt when he woke up? How he felt when he woke up. He went to bed thinking. How is this ever going to happen?

[29:06] How are these people ever going to get moving? Well where is this going? Everything's against us. But that night God said. Well here's where you are. Here's where the nations are.

[29:18] You're stuck in your sin. You're stuck in your guilt. You're stuck in your fear. But I am coming. I will return to Jerusalem with mercy. And I will terrify the nations. And I will build my city. And remember.

[29:29] I'm going to be a wall of fire around it. You're not going to have to build earthly walls. Because it's going to be too big. But I will be a glory within. And a wall of fire around. I'm going to stretch this city to the ends of the earth.

[29:40] And your sin. Oh the bliss of this glorious thought. All my sin not in part. But the whole nail to the cross. And we bear it no more. On a single day. I will remove sin from this land.

[29:52] And it's not going to be just you. And your puny might. That's going to build this city. Build this temple. Not by might. Nor by power. But by my spirit.

[30:05] And so this wave. After a wave. Of good news. Zachariah is just sopping wet. With the grace of God. And so there. Just think for a second.

[30:21] All of these things. Have been fulfilled. And are being fulfilled. Except for this very last one.

[30:33] Hasn't been fulfilled yet. Zion is stretching to the ends of the earth. Just like he said it would. God has poured out his spirit.

[30:45] And we are shining in a dark world. And God's people are being purified. And in many ways. We are already being separated. Sinner and saints.

[30:56] And so. I wonder. Will he fulfill this very last one. This last promise. To finally put down.

[31:08] Rebellious nations. To finally come. And bring an end. To the world of sinful men. To bring peace. Will he do it?

[31:19] If he did. If he said. I'm going to do a hundred things. And he did ninety-nine of them. Do you think he's going to fail. At the last one. I've started to build a shed.

[31:33] And I have it planned out. And I started it the other day. And. Do you think if I start it. And I get ninety percent of the way done. I'm just going to give up. I mean it might happen.

[31:44] But I'm not going to willfully. Choose to give it up. And say never mind. Now is God going to go to the great lengths. Of sending his son to die on a cross.

[31:57] Sending his Holy Spirit. To empower his people. And start building the church. So now here we are. Two thousand years later. And about as far from Jerusalem.

[32:09] As you can imagine. And what are we doing? We're worshiping Jesus. Do you think he's really going to quit now? Is he not going to finish. What he started? Babylon.

[32:22] Will. Fall. Every minute. Every second. We're ticking. One second closer. To that last day.

[32:36] When God says. Time's up. Let's roll. And when he says to his son. It's time. And the son calls his twelve legions of angels.

[32:48] And they will come out of heaven. And the whole world of men. And all that rebellion. Will die. And it will be squashed.

[32:58] Like the little thing. That it is. And God will have rest. I want to just apply this. In two ways. The first is to believers. And the second is to unbelievers.

[33:10] So first to believers. Fear and intimidation are real. They're real. We know what it is to be afraid. Afraid of people. Afraid of what governments could do.

[33:24] Afraid of what our government can do. Afraid of the times. Afraid of people. Afraid of our enemies. Those things are real. But Zachariah would say. Look. Look long.

[33:38] Look hard. Look at what is coming. Look at who is coming. And so fear of man. Dies.

[33:49] In the sight of God. The sight of his power. And his plans. And his purposes. And beloved. By the grace of God. We are in that army.

[33:59] Called alongside angels. To fight for the king. Remember there's two parts. To the church. The church militant.

[34:10] The church fighting. And the church victorious. The church fighting. And the church already won. And so. Let me just steal. From General Grant.

[34:21] And say. Let's go back to our commands. And start thinking about. What you are going to do. Instead of what they are going to do. To you. And so look at your street.

[34:33] Look at your families. Look at your workplaces. There is new ground. To take. There's the weapon. Of all prayer. To use.

[34:47] There's a sword. That cuts. To the very quick. There are souls. To fight for. There are souls. To win. Now love. For people.

[34:58] Should make us. Swallow our fear. And speak to them. Because look at your neighbors. And look at your coworkers. And I want you to think about them. And I need to think about my. Family. And my friends.

[35:09] And my neighbors. How will that day. Find them. How will that day. Find them. Paul said it. Knowing.

[35:20] The terror. Of the Lord. We persuade. Men. Knowing the terror. Of the Lord. We persuade. Men. Knowing what is coming.

[35:32] We. Persuade. Men. Think about your neighbors. Think about your family. And your friends. Those are people.

[35:43] To persuade. To be as winsome. And as powerful. As you can with them. Because that day. Is going to come upon them. It's going to come upon them.

[35:56] And we should love them enough. To talk to them. We should love them enough. To pray for them. We should. And my last application. The second is.

[36:07] If you're lost. You aren't a Christian. And what is Zechariah 6. Saying to you. Just this. We aren't playing a game.

[36:17] That's going to go on. And on. And on. We aren't singing the song. That goes on. And on. My friends. Again. And again. Just. Again.

[36:29] And again. And again. The Bible. Tells us. This. Is coming. If you read the prophets. It could be almost. Repetitive.

[36:40] It's coming. It's coming. This is coming. Get ready for this. Why does God. Repeat. Again. And again. Judgment.

[36:50] Is coming. The armies of God. Are coming. The end. Is coming. Why does he do it? Because it is coming. Pain. And it is terrible. And it scares me.

[37:03] Half to death. To think of some of you. Not ready for the day. When an angel. Will stand in front of you. And will drag you off. To face the king. But God tells you. These things.

[37:13] So they won't happen. To you. So that you can escape. And he warns you. To save you. He warns you. Because he doesn't wish. Any. To perish. He wants everyone. To repent.

[37:24] For you to repent. So he tells you. These things. Because he hopes. That you'll have. The good sense. To repent. To run into his open arms.

[37:34] Because he does have. Open arms. And he has an open heart. And he's saying. Come to me. And you can escape. Escape. The curse. Of your sin.

[37:45] Escape. The judgment. That is coming. Be right with God. You can escape. But how. Will you escape. If you neglect. Such a great salvation. And how.

[37:57] Will you escape. If you neglect. Such a great. Savior. Who goes through the trouble. Of telling you again. And again. And again. And again. It's coming.

[38:09] It's coming. Are you ready for it? Well. How will you escape. If you neglect. Such. A great. Savior. What are your options?

[38:21] What are your plans? How are you going to argue. With an angel? How are you going to argue. With the son of God? Let's pray.

[38:39] Heavenly father. We thank you. That you love us enough. You love. Each one of us enough. To warn us. Again. And again. Of the wrath. The come. Of what you are going to do.

[38:49] You warn us. And you tell us. Of these things. To encourage us. To come to Jesus. And you tell us. These things. To put steel. In our bones. To give us courage.

[39:02] We want to be. Men of faith. And women of faith. Who aren't afraid. Who aren't always. Running. And afraid. Of what other people. Are going to do. But we want to be.

[39:14] Even like. Barnabas. Saying. What can I do? A man of faith. And full of the Holy Spirit. Help us to be. Those kind of people. That aren't always.

[39:24] Reacting. To what others. Are doing to us. But people who have. Your kingdom. And your heart. In our minds. Please teach us.

[39:39] Please help us. To understand. The terror. Of the Lord. That that might. Motivate us. That out of love. That we might. Persuade men. Forgive us.

[39:50] For our unbelief. And help us. Lord. To be. Better ambassadors. More loving ambassadors. More fervent. More zealous. To love the people.

[40:03] That you put into our lives. I ask this in Jesus name. Help us to be like Jesus. That's that in his name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[40:15]
