Set Free By Christ

Take your Bibles and turn to the Gospel of Mark. We'll be reading chapter 5, 1 through 20. Mark chapter 5, we'll begin reading at verse 1.

They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with the evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain.

For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him.

Night and day among the tombs and in the hills, he would cry out and cut himself with stones. When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him.

He shouted at the top of his voice, What do you want with me, Jesus, son of the Most High God? Swear to God that you won't torture me. For Jesus had said to him, Come out of this man, you evil spirit.

Then Jesus asked him, What is your name? My name is Legion, he replied, for we are many. And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. The demons begged Jesus, Send us among the pigs. Allow us to go into them. He gave them permission, and the evil spirits came out and went into the pigs.

The herd, about 2,000 in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned. Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened.

When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons sitting there, dressed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man and told about the pigs as well. Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.

As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy on you.

So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and all the people were amazed.

Who is Jesus of Nazareth, and why was he here? Those were the critical questions that all four of our gospel writers sought to answer, and indeed did answer.

For as Christianity was quickly spreading around the then-known world, from Jerusalem right on out into the ends of the earth, and many people were hearing about Jesus for the first time, it became important to tell them clearly who Jesus was and why he came.

And so approximately 30 years after Jesus died and rose again and ascended into heaven, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and last of all, John, all wrote their gospel accounts to answer the who and the why questions.

Maybe some of you have had these same basic questions about Jesus. Well, we turn to Mark chapter 5 this morning, and even though it's just one chapter of this whole gospel, it goes a long way in telling us who Jesus is and why he came.

Mark tells us the answer, and in short, it is that Jesus is the Son of God who came into the world to save sinners. In chapter 5, we see Jesus going out of his way, yes, indeed, crossing the Sea of Galilee, to seek and to save one sinner.

For our text tells us it begins with Jesus stepping out of the boat onto the shore of the Gerasenes, and it ends with Jesus getting back into the boat and leaving the same day.

And all for what? For one sinner. And what a sinner he was. This was a desperate sinner, long ago, written off as worthless, useless to try to see that man converted.

Beyond the reach, hopelessly lost, beyond help. But blessed be Jesus. He was not beyond the reach of Jesus, not beyond his reach and power, because he's able to do what no one else can do.

He can save to the uttermost. He's mighty to save, and he can save the worst of sinners. And that's what we have demonstrated for us here in Mark chapter 5.

Since Matthew and Luke also recount this event, I'll be using some of their comments to fill in as we work our way through this passage.

Now, let's just suppose that you were living 2,000 years ago, and that for the first time you were visiting your friends who lived in the region of the Gerasenes.

And after a busy day of shopping in the markets, supper's over, and the sun has set, and you're sitting out on the patio, drinking your chamomile tea, just chatting with your host.

And suddenly you hear a shrieking scream off in the distance that sends shivers up and down your spine, and you say, What was that?

It almost sounded human. Was it coyotes or something? Oh, no. No, it's him. That demon-possessed man.

For a long time, he's not worn clothes or lived in a house. He lives out there in the tombs in solitary places, and he's so violent that people won't even go that way anymore because of his attacks.

We often had him chained hand and foot, but each time he broke the chains and tore the irons. No one could subdue him, and so we just let him go.

And now night and day, among the tombs and in the hills, he cries out and cuts himself with stones. Welcome to the region of the Gerasenes.

You would think twice before moving there with your family, wouldn't you? And that is precisely where Jesus steers his boat that day.

And it lands on that shore because there is one sinner that he is going to save, and it's that man that meets him. As soon as he steps out of the boat onto the shore, here is that demon-possessed man.

He's right in his backyard. And he charges at Jesus, screaming at the top of his voice.

You wonder if Peter was ready to knock him one. I mean, they just stepped out of the boat, and here's this wild man running at them, naked and bleeding and screaming.

And Jesus says, Come out of him, you evil spirit. And down he goes on his face at Jesus' feet and shouts to him, What do you want with me, Jesus?

Son of the Most High God, swear to God you won't torture me. Now this passage is full of lessons for us. The first is evil spirits are real.

They're also called demons. And this is an aspect of reality that many today rarely think about simply because we can't see them. But these demons are fallen angels.

They're spirit beings created by God and so created good, created upright, but who did not keep their original righteousness. They revolted against God.

They rebelled against God along with their leader, Satan, himself, an angelic being. And now they all together stand opposed to God and to everything good.

They're completely evil, 100% evil. And they have an intense hatred against God and against men who are made in his image.

And so this is the first lesson we need to learn that we share the planet with these evil spirits along with good spirits, good angels.

I wonder if that's part of your worldview. Is that how you think of this world? Or has it been a week or a month or a year since you have realized there are evil spirits in this world that are out to harm me?

That's why Jesus teaches us to pray. And it ought to be as regular as we pray for our daily bread.

Deliver us from the evil one. Well, from the Gospels we learn that there were times when these evil spirits actually inhabited the bodies and souls of people.

Not believers, but unbelievers. We refer to it as demon possession, such as we have here in Mark chapter 5. And in many places in the Gospel where these evil spirits came and lived inside the bodies of people and took control of them.

Their bodies, their faculties, their voice box so that they could speak through them, they could act through them, they could cause them to do things that they otherwise would never do. They were demon possessed.

Jesus often met these demon possessed people during the days of his ministry on earth. You can't miss it, can you, as you read through the Gospel accounts. Here we are in Mark chapter 5 and here they are again.

And it's not even the first time in Mark's Gospel that we see this sort of thing. Their prevalence in his day is due to the showdown that his coming to earth brought.

It was a showdown of the forces of good and of evil in a battle for the eternal souls of men. And Satan and his forces of evil were making their show of strength to not let go of one slave of theirs that they possessed.

Indeed, John says in his epistle that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. And Satan and his hellish crew were not about to give up one captive.

And so the coming of Jesus brought a clash between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light. And demon possession is the devil's in-your-face destruction of what Jesus had created.

Consider three points about these evil spirits that we learn from our text. First of all, their power. It was supernatural. Superhuman power, wasn't it? No one was strong enough to subdue this man who was possessed by demons.

He repeatedly broke free and tore chains and irons apart. Indeed, in the book of Acts, we find seven brothers trying to cast one evil spirit out of a man.

And the man with the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all and gave them such a beating that all seven ran out of the house naked and bleeding. That's one evil spirit taking on seven brothers.

Their power is superhuman. Indeed, on earth is not their equal, as Luther said. But their power is accompanied, secondly, by their malice, their hatred.

They hate God and man. And their purpose is to destroy all that God has made, especially that which bears his image, which is human beings. And we see it here in the destruction of this man.

Think of the misery that he was subjected to for a long time, we're told, at the hands of these demons who lived within him. They reduced him to the level of a beast.

He runs around naked, living away from civilization, out on the hills, among the tombs with the dead bodies. That's his home.

He's violent. He's harmful to any that came near him. And he cuts himself with sharp stones, shrieking and crying day and night out of his mind.

What a miserable existence these demons put him through. And the self-destructive aim of demon possession is clearly seen in this man. He's destroying himself.

And it's seen in other demon possessions as they cause the person to jump into the fire or to jump into the water and drown. Even as these pigs did when they came under the influence of the demons, they too jumped into the water.

Self-destructive habits. The hallmark of their efforts upon men. Can you see their hatred, their malice against this man, the man who was made in God's image?

Yes, their power is supernatural. Their malice is great. But notice as well their knowledge. They know precisely who Jesus is.

Isn't that something? Mark, one of Mark's aims in his gospel is to tell us who Jesus is. And he does that at the mouth of a demon-possessed man.

And the demon inside of him tells us who Jesus is. He is the son of the most high God. Do you know demons know the deity of Jesus?

They know who he is. They know he is God the son. They know he is the creator who has existed forever and ever. They know a lot more than many religious professors today about Jesus.

And these evil spirits, for we find there was more than one, there was legion inside of this man. They know that as the son of God most high, Jesus has the authority and the power to judge them.

they know that there is a day appointed for their punishment when they will be thrown into the lake of fire and be tormented day and night forever and ever as Revelation 20.10 says.

They know all of this and they tremble, James says. And here they are trembling. And that is why they are begging Jesus not to torture them.

Indeed in Matthew we read they are saying have you come here to torture us before the appointed time? We know that a time is coming but have you come here to torture us now? Has it already come?

And they repeatedly begged Jesus not to send them to the abyss, not to send them out of the region and rather they begged Jesus to send them into that herd of pigs that was grazing nearby.

they know they must come out. Jesus has said come out of him. And they know they cannot go wherever they will.

They can only go wherever they go at his permission. He is Lord of all. And so they beg his permission to go into the pigs. Jesus gives the permission and out of the man they come and into the herd of pigs they go and under their influence the entire herd of 2,000 goes down the steep bank right into the water where they were drowned.

Again demonstrating the self-destructive nature of these who come under the power of demon possession because the enemy only comes to steal, to kill and to destroy.

That's demon possession that we meet in the Gospels in the book of Acts. Now it's true that we do not see much demon possession now as we saw. We do not see as much of it now as was seen when Jesus was here.

And again that's because it was a great showdown. When Jesus Christ came it was the showdown between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. And the kingdom of darkness was seeking to hold on to its turf.

But don't let that fool you. don't let that make you think well then I don't have to worry anything about evil spirits today. I guess it was just something that happened back in that day.

No. Evil spirits are still plenty active and powerful in our world and in an even more sinister way than in the days of Jesus' flesh here on earth.

A more deceptive way. not in such obvious ways where we see him wrecking people's lives always but in a deceptive way they now work.

And if they do not possess the entire body and personality of the man they are nevertheless controlling their soul and stirring the person to do Satan's will which is to go on sinning against God.

Their aim is no less to destroy. They still urge people on to self-destructive habits destroying all that is good and decent that God has created like relationships and he's out to destroy them.

Like health fearfully and wonderfully made bodies and he's out to destroy people's health. like potential and gifts yes he's he's come to destroy and they still are hiding the gospel from sinners.

They're hiding the way to be saved from sinners. That's what we read in 2 Corinthians 4 that the God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the glory of God in the face of Christ.

They don't see any beauty in Jesus enough to worship him and to give themselves and trust into his hands. They don't see it. Why not? Paul says the God of this age has blinded their minds.

Yes Satan and his hellish crew are still actively blinding unbelievers to the gospel of Jesus Christ. unbelievers you need to know that evil spirits are still involved in powerfully tempting you and holding you in bondage to sin.

Ephesians 2 says that they are at work in the children of disobedience. These evil spirits are present tense at work in the children of disobedience still deceiving men still getting you to believe their lies still distracting your minds turning you away from Christ.

Remember Jesus told the story about the parable of the sower a man went forth to sow his seed and some of the seed fell upon the hard packed ground and so instead of enfolding the seed and growing the birds of the air came and they saw it there and they snatched it up before it even had a chance to sprout and grow and the disciples said Lord what did this story mean?

Well they're like some people and when the gospel seed comes and lands upon their ears Satan like the birds comes and snatches it up before they can bear the life of fruit of faith and repentance and so before they have acted upon the word that they hear the seed that was sown it just is taken away who does that Jesus?

Satan and his demons don't think that they stay away from church Jesus is saying they are especially active when the seed is being sown just to distract you to take away that seed before you act upon it and get to Christ the only savior so my unconverted friend though you cannot see evil spirits and may hardly ever think about them the truth of the matter is that they are working overtime just to keep you where you are outside of Christ and you know they don't care how they keep you there you know sometimes they will hook people on drugs and drunkenness and illicit sex and and their aim is still the same to keep them away from Christ other times they will use recreations and sports and popularities and iPhones and anything just to keep them occupied to keep them from coming to Jesus realizing their need and that he alone can save them they don't care whether it's one or the other they simply want you damned that's how much hatred there is in these evil spirits they may tempt you with a whole lifetime of sinful pleasures ah I like this I like that I like this only to see you damned in the end they want you suffering forever they may even use religion because religion has damned more people than it saved because it has been twisted by men under the influence of the devil's lies to think that well because

I'm going to church I'm better than she her and because I'm reading my Bible and I'm praying and I'm trying to do to others what I would want them to do I'm going to make it to heaven someday that's the devil's biggest lie and it runs through all denominations it comes into all churches they hear a little bit of the truth and under the blinding influence of evil spirits their own darkened minds they think oh if I'm good enough I'll be saved in the end oh no no the truth is that outside of Jesus Christ all your righteous acts are like filthy rags to God disgusting the truth is that if you don't have a perfect righteousness you'll not get into heaven a perfect righteousness

James 2 10 for whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point he's guilty of it all you're a lawbreaker and all lawbreakers go to hell you've got to have a perfect record to make it to heaven one broken law leaves you a lawbreaker and that sin must be punished God's too holy just to wink at it and turn aside from it so either you pay for your sins in hell or you find Jesus Christ as the substitute to pay for that sin on Calvary only two places sin is punished thoroughly in Christ on the cross paid in full outside of Christ in hell never paying the last farthing so that my friend is the gospel that Jesus Christ has come and lived the perfect life the lawmaker was born and put himself under the law that he might obey it for sinners who have broken it and then went to the cross and died suffering the punishment of lawbreakers that there might be salvation to offer to you this morning that if you will trust in him and not in anything you have done cast yourself upon his mercy he will save you just as you are repudiate your past life cast your whole trust upon the

Lord Jesus for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord you know one of the strategies of Satan is just to remain hidden and so to make you a slave while you're thinking you're free is the way he likes to operate and how many people today are the slaves of Satan and they think they're free I'm doing my own thing all the while they've got the hook through their nose Satan doesn't care they think they're free he's got them as long as they're doing what he wants he doesn't care what they think they're doing his will and his will is to disobey God in fact if you're not trusting and obeying Jesus right now then the evil spirits are having their way with you whatever you may think they are having their way with you well enough of these evil spirits here in

Mark 5 we're not only made to see the reality of evil spirits but we're made to see Jesus power over them that's why Jesus directed the boat to this shoreline yes they have supernatural strength above humans but mighty as they are there's one mightier still and Jesus demonstrates his divine power to break the hold that demons have upon men he gives a command and the demons must go now in chapter 4 he commanded and wind and waves obeyed in chapter 5 he commands and demons obey later in chapter 5 he commands and sickness and death obey you see Mark is showing us who this Jesus is he's God and he's here to save sinners John says the reason the son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work and on another time after driving out an evil spirit

Jesus said if I drive out demons by the power of God then you can know that the kingdom of God has come among you you can know that the king is here with kingly God power if you see me driving out evil spirits for when a strong man fully armed guards his own house his possessions are safe but when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils you see Jesus what he's saying he's saying Satan is the strong man and there he stands on the front porch fully armed with supernatural powers and inside the prison house of sin are all of his slaves and they're doing exactly what he wants them to do staying away from Christ going their own way doing the thing that seems right to them and he stands and guards and protects every one of his slaves of sin

Jesus is saying I'm the stronger man from heaven and I come and in combat with this strong man I overpower him I disarm him and having disarmed him I can go into his house and set free captives of his so if you see me setting them free you can know that I the strong one from heaven have come to set his prisoners free such was this poor demon possessed garrison man that Jesus overcame the power of the evil one and set him free and Jesus is still setting captives free such were all of us who are in Christ lastly we see the reaction of the garrison people to Jesus miracle setting free this demon possessed man or the herdsmen they run off into town they got owners to tell what's happened to their pigs they've got neighbors to tell you won't believe this they've got people along the way to tell and everybody came out of the town to see what had happened and when they came out they saw the man who had been possessed by the evil spirits and he was sitting clothed and in his right mind at Jesus feet and they saw him there as they had never seen him before and they were amazed what a transformation that Jesus had made and what an amazing transformation

Jesus has made on you you're not what you used to be either this man's no longer running wild and naked he's dressed and sitting there calmly at Jesus feet J.C.

Ryle says we're never in our right minds until we're converted by Christ here's this man he's in his right mind and we're never in our right minds until we come to Christ we're thinking wrong about life about what's important and who God is and how holy is and what does it take to get to heaven we're all messed up in our minds but when Jesus saves us and sets us free from Satan's power we are brought into our right minds remember it was said of the prodigal son he came to his senses said of this man he's in his right mind for the first time that's what Jesus does to those that he saves here he is if any man be in Christ he's a new creation all things are passed away behold all things have become new sin is insanity sin is irrational sin is self destructive it makes no sense but when

Jesus comes it puts men right in their right mind and so here's this man he's now in his right mind he's now ready to move back in with society and be useful contributing member to society no longer out running in isolation cutting himself in the mountains and so as all the people are here now the herdsmen recount once more what had happened only now it's on sight you see that hill there that's where they were all at all 2,000 of them and when Jesus spoke the word and suddenly we see these pigs all going down into the water and they drowned and then we saw him sitting here like this at Jesus feet so calm so at peace and just the townspeople heard it all the Bible says they were afraid their response was fear they knew something about the power of evil they had felt it some of these men might have wrestled with this man some of them might have taken bruises and brought blood from this man as he was a violent man who would attack them and to see him sitting here what must be the power of Jesus to do this to this man and they were afraid they were not comfortable in the power in the presence of the powerful son of the most high

God we don't know everything they were afraid of perhaps it was their guilty conscience that they realized they were in the presence of God and they were afraid for their own sins maybe they were afraid of what other losses it might mean to us to have this Jesus here among us maybe they were prizing the things of earth the cost of the pigs is higher than Jesus we know that's common for men isn't it to put a higher evaluation on things of earth than upon the Lord Jesus and they're afraid of what losses it might mean for them to have Jesus in their midst and all of that means more to them than the sanity and salvation of the man sitting at Jesus feet and so in fear they started begging Jesus to leave and young people I think the scariest thing in this story out of all we've seen that's frightful the scariest thing is that

Jesus got in the boat and left because that tells me that Jesus will not be patient forever and it tells me that some of you have sat under gospel preaching all your lives and week by week you've said Jesus leave me alone no thanks you're not wanted here and this passage says that Jesus turned and got in the boat and left there comes a time when his patience is no more and he does leave he does give men what they want their sin his absence him leaving them alone no longer bothering them no longer convicting them just leave me alone and he does just that you know that's the essence of hell depart from me to be apart from Christ under the wrath of God the most dreadful thing of all rather than being brought to worship the one with so great power they ask him to leave

I plead with you who have heard the gospel and are still outside of Christ seek the Lord while he may be found call on him while he is near let the wicked forsake his way and he will have mercy upon him let him turn to our God and he will abundantly pardon but do it today if you hear his voice harden not your heart you know he'll save you today if you come to him today he's just that kind of a savior every single one of us when we came he received us and we see him saving the worst of sinners this demon possessed man that that no one here might think that you're beyond the hope of Jesus salvation his blood can make the foul the foul sinner clean that's why he's come he delights to save sinners let that move you to him today this is the man that Jesus crossed the ocean to save and you know he's crossed a greater chasm the chasm between heaven and earth he's come to seek and to save that which is lost and he saved us who know him amen because

Jesus was on his way to the cross where he took our sins and Christ died for sins once for all the righteous for the unrighteous to bring us to God and to set us free from Satan's power and today he'll save you if you will trust in him what a difference response to this is found in this demon possessed man who's now set free everybody else is saying leave us Jesus leave us please you're not welcome here and what's this man doing as Jesus is getting into the boat to leave he's begging Jesus let me come with you please leave us let me come with you see the contrast it couldn't be sharper could it and that's what God does that's what Jesus does to the heart of everyone that's truly saved he puts in them a desire to be with Jesus nothing's better than spending time with Jesus listening to him through talking to him in prayer worshiping in his presence to be with

Jesus we're not born that way we're born saying leave us alone but here's a man that's been born again here's a man that's been converted and saved by Christ and he wants to be with Jesus you see Jesus had given him life new life Jesus had saved him from the misery that was his life and where it was leading and all he can think of is I don't want to be without this Jesus that's a sign of conversion but there's a strange reality in Mark chapter 5 and it's this that in this chapter three times we read of Jesus being begged for something and so when the demons inside the man begged to go into the pigs Jesus said yes and when the people all begged

Jesus to leave Jesus said yes and left but when his own believer new babe in Christ begs to go with him Jesus says no no is that strange yes to demons yes to unconverted men that don't want him but no to obey the Christ and I'll tell you it proves that he was saved in that he obeyed what his master had said his master said to him no you go home and you tell your family what the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy upon you and that was the evidence of salvation he wants to be with Jesus that's his new heart but also that he obeys

Jesus and does what Jesus his new master and Lord says no longer is he following evil spirits he is now following the Lord Jesus the God man and he obeys him regardless of what he wanted to do do you want to be with Jesus do you have that new heart do you obey him wherever he sends you whatever wherever he crosses your will that's a mark of true salvation hear what the Lord has done for me he did better than what Jesus he went home and he told his family but it says that he scattered the news throughout the town and even in the Decapolis the ten cities around hear what the Lord has done for me dear child of God you may be praying!

asking Lord Jesus if only you would take away this problem this financial problem my family then I could serve you better let me come with you on that path and by his providence he is saying to you no I've got you just where I want you you stay there!

in that way in your situation in your problems I want you to glorify me in that way and sharing in the midst of your problem what the Lord has done for you the mercy he's had upon you that is sustaining you right where you are trust the Lord Jesus and follow him and let's all do what this man did let's all tell our families and everyone in our acquaintances what the Lord has done for us and how he has had mercy upon us how he's come from heaven to die for our sins to rise again that he might have new life to give to us that one day he's coming again for us and even now he prays for us and watches over us and so these evil spirits may tempt us but they cannot truly harm us because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world who can separate us from the love of

Christ nothing no one not angels not demons not any power can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord no one can snatch you out of my hands Jesus says and out of father's hands what a blessing to be in Christ what a miserable life to be outside of Christ what a miserable eternity awaits all without Jesus come to Christ today he's beseeching you on behalf of Christ we his ambassadors say come and be reconciled to God Jesus through us is preaching to you come today and be reconciled to God you know it was an amazing thing that Jesus did for this demon possessed man but he's done something just as amazing for every one of us

Christians hasn't he if we know anything about what the Bible teaches about our captivity to sin and to Satan our blindness our impotence our our serving the master Satan well then we have to say he's done amazing things to me let me tell you what the Lord has done for me may those words be found on our lips you know they were found on Charles Wesley's lips he was saved and one year after his conversion he wrote a hymn to celebrate his conversion oh for a thousand tongues to tell my great redeemer my redeemer's praise I want to tell people hear what the Lord has done for me and sometimes I feel as if one tongue isn't enough Wesley says I wish I had a thousand don't you suppose that's what was in the heart of this demon possessed man that had just been set free go home and tell what the

Lord has done for you and he went all over the place oh that I had ten thousand tongues to go everywhere and tell and may it be that the Lord would stir up such a heart in us and maybe someone here who today would be set free from your sins and go from this place rejoicing in what Jesus has done for you let's turn to number 133 133 and let's stand and sing the praises of our Lord Jesus who sets the captive free he sets free those under Satan's power 133 let's pray father we thank you for the good news the gospels that tell us that you have sent your one and only son into the world to seek and to save that which is lost we've seen you Lord Jesus in this chapter seeking and saving a desperately lost man under the power of

Satan and you saved him you set him free you gave him new life and a! heart to praise you and you've done the same for many of us here and we lift up our praise to you and thank you for your grace that is indeed greater than all of our sin and we pray you would send us on our way rejoicing and telling others of this great Savior and for those that came lost that came under the power of Satan even as Jesus first met this garrison demoniac set them free send them on their way rejoicing going to their home and telling what Jesus has done for their souls we ask it in Jesus name amen
