In Isaiah chapter 34, we're going to read the entire chapter. Come near you nations and listen.! Pay attention, you peoples.

Let the earth hear and all that is in it, the world and all that comes out of it. The Lord is angry with all nations. His wrath is upon all their armies.

He will totally destroy them. He will give them over to slaughter. Their slain will be thrown out. Their dead bodies will send up a stench. The mountains will be soaked with their blood.

All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved and the sky rolled up like a scroll. All the starry hosts will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

My sword is drunk its fill in the heavens. See, it descends in judgment on Edom, the people I have totally destroyed. The sword of the Lord is bathed in blood.

It is covered with fat, the blood of lambs and goats, fat from the kidneys of rams. For the Lord has a sacrifice in Basra and a great slaughter in Edom.

And the wild oxen will fall with them. The bull calves and the great bulls, their land will be drenched with blood. And the dust will be soaked with fat.

For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution to uphold Zion's cause. Edom's streams will be turned into pitch.

Her dust into burning sulfur. Her land will become blazing pitch. It will not be quenched night and day. Its smoke will rise forever. From generation to generation, it will lie desolate.

No one will ever pass through it again. The desert owl and screech owl will possess it. The great owl and the raven will nest there. God will stretch out over Edom the measuring line of chaos and the plumb line of desolation.

Her nobles will have nothing there to be called a kingdom. All her princes will vanish away. Thorns will overrun her citadels, nettles and brambles, her strongholds.

She will become a haunt for jackals, a home for owls. Desert creatures will meet with hyenas and wild goats will bleat to each other.

There the night creatures will also repose and find for themselves places of rest. The owl will nest there and lay eggs. She will hatch them and care for her young under the shadow of her wings.

There also the falcons will gather, each with its mate. Look in the scroll of the Lord and read. None of these will be missing. No one will lack her mate, for it is his mouth that has given the order, and his spirit will gather them together.

He allots their portions. His hand distributes them by measure. They will possess it forever and dwell there from generation to generation.

Where are you going? Where are you going? One day on a mountainside in Palestine, the Son of God said this to a listening crowd.

There are only two roads in life. And each one leads to a different destination. There is the broad road and it leads to destruction.

And there are many on it. And there is a narrow road and it leads to life. And only a few find it. You see, to live is to be traveling.

Right now, this morning, as you sit there, you are on a journey. Do you know where you're going? Now, if you went down to US 30 and you flag down a car and you stop them and ask, where are you going?

They would tell you. Well, we're going to Plymouth. We're going to Valparaiso. Or we're going to Fort Wayne. People on the road are going somewhere and they know where.

And yet, nothing is more common than for people to be traveling through their life without knowing where they are going, where they will end up forever.

And so the Lord Jesus was flagging down people in the midst of their journey, saying, stop. Have you thought about where the road you are traveling on will end up?

Get off this broad road that leads to destruction. Get on to the narrow road that leads to life. Now, the interesting thing is, is that 700 years before Jesus said that to his crowd, Isaiah confronted Judah with the very same message, two roads, two destinations.

Now, we've seen him saying over and over in his book that there are really only two ways to live. You either trust in God or you trust in man.

Whatever the trouble be, whether it's your greatest problem of guilt before God or or a problem in a relationship or with finances or with health or or with guidance.

In that situation of life, there are those who trust God to save them, to help them, to be their deliverer, to protect them, to guide them.

And then there are those who trust in other helpers. Maybe shifting for themselves, leaning on their own understanding and abilities or or on others, on idols, substitute saviors.

Just these two ways of living. And Isaiah, like Jesus, wants us to think of the end of these two roads. Where do they lead us?

Because the life you are living now has eternal consequences in the future. What you are doing with God now.

Will determine what he does with you forever. Are you trusting him or turning away from him to other helpers?

Well, Isaiah, in these two chapters that are before us, holds in front of us two destinations and he brings them right up close to each other so we can see the contrast as we see them side by side.

Chapter 34 is the future of those who don't trust in the Lord. God's judgment. God's salvation.

So we have endless wrath on the one side and endless joy on the other. We have barren wasteland on the one side and blossoming desert on the other.

We have death here and life there. And the Lord, through Isaiah, is urging us to choose life. Now, first is the message of God's judgment.

Chapter 34. Listen up, God says to his world. I have something important to say to every one of you. And what is that message that God has to say?

Well, verse two, the Lord is very angry. That's his message. The Lord is angry with all nations. His wrath is upon all their armies. He will totally destroy them.

He will give them over to slaughter. He's no longer talking about one nation of Assyria, his enemies. This is universal judgment. And right away, we see again that the Bible is not at all shy about telling us the end of the road for those who refuse to trust in the Lord.

Francis Schaeffer said that if he had just one hour to tell someone the gospel, he would spend the first 50 minutes telling them the bad news of God's judgment.

And then the last 10 minutes, the good news of God's salvation. Why is that? Because he knew that until men were gripped with the bad news, they would yawn at the good news.

John Piper has said, when the heart no longer feels the truth of hell, the gospel passes from being good news to just news.

And the Lord Jesus himself wanted men to see their danger that they might flee to him from the coming wrath. Now, there's few things that modern men are more ignorant of than the fact that God is angry with them.

There's only one thing that evokes God's wrath. Just one thing in the whole world that evokes his wrath. And that one thing is sin. Sin is the opposite of his holiness.

So when God sees sin, he cannot but recoil. All that he is as holy cannot do anything but recoil against it. Wrath is his 100% consistent response to sin wherever it is found.

In boys and girls. In old ladies. In middle-aged men. And hear me. Even in his own beloved son.

Who had no sins of his own. But who, when our sins were placed upon him. God's wrath was poured out on him full force.

It is 100% consistent. Wherever the holy God meets with sin. It is wrath upon it. And if he did not spare his own son.

When bearing the sins of others. Do you think for a moment that he will spare you if you die in your sins? No.

The wrath of God is real. And is coming. On all people who have not trusted in the Lord to save them. Now men misinterpret God's patience all the time.

God is so long suffering. That it works against him in men's minds. They think that because God has not punished me yet. He never will. That because he hasn't struck me down in judgment.

He won't. As if he has no wrath. Well the Lord has a day of wrath. Verse 8 says. For the Lord has a day of vengeance.

A year of retribution. Of payback. To uphold Zion's cause. And so this chapter takes us right to the end of the age. To that day. That day of wrath.

That day of vengeance. At the day of the Lord. And we see that. We know we're talking about the end. Because of the apocalyptic language that we find in verse 4.

All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved. And the sky ruled up like a scroll. And all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine. Like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

That's language for the end of the world. As we know it. Revelation chapter 6 takes up the same language to describe this coming day of wrath.

When the sun will turn black. When the sun will turn black. And the whole moon will turn blood red. And the stars in the sky fell to earth. And as late figs dropped from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.

And the sky receded like a scroll rolling up. And every mountain and island removed from its place. And then all the peoples of the earth. And the hills will cry out to the rocks and the hills to fall on us.

And hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne. And from the wrath of the lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come. And who can stand? That's the day of wrath that Isaiah had spoken about so many years earlier.

And who can stand before the wrath of a holy God? Now at verse 5 we notice a shift.

Though God's judgment falls on all the earth. And all peoples and nations of the world. Verse 5 singles out the nation of Edom. My sword has drunk its fill in the heavens.

We just read of that. See now it descends in judgment on Edom. The people I have totally destroyed. Why is Edom singled out for judgment?

Well because Edom here represents all of God's enemies. Edom was the nation that descended from Esau. Remember Esau?

Esau fiercely opposed his twin brother Jacob. From whom the nation of Israel came.

And Esau tried to kill his brother Jacob. And Edom never got over their jealous grudge against Israel. And so from Genesis to Malachi right throughout the Old Testament.

Edom is seen as bitter enemies of God and his people. Edom. They rejoiced when Judah fell. They cut them down when they were fleeing from their enemies.

So Edom is public enemy number one of Israel. And so they represent all the enemies of God and his people. You'll see them used that way in the Psalms.

In the worship of the Old Testament church. Now that's the reason then for this great slaughter in Edom. 200 years after this prophecy God's judgment fell on Edom.

And they were driven from their homeland. And what Isaiah is saying is that what God did to Edom. He will do to all his enemies.

In that final day of vengeance and retribution and wrath. When he punishes his enemies and upholds Zion's cause. His people's cause.

So what did God do to Edom? It concerns us. Well it's not a pretty picture. But we must see it. God reveals it.

Verse 9. Edom's streams will be turned into pitch. Her dust into burning sulfur. Her land will become blazing pitch. Now that's man's environment.

That's where it's headed. When man first struck out in independence from God. And said to God in the garden. We don't need your wisdom.

We don't need you or your wisdom God. And said we don't want you or your loss. We'll decide for ourselves what we'll do.

What happened? Not only was Adam cursed. But the ground was cursed. Because of Adam. Wasn't it? And that points us to the extent of God's judgment.

How far does it reach? Well it not only affects man himself. But it affected man's environment. As well. So man without God moves where? From the lush green Eden.

Garden of Eden. Into the barren wasteland. Of thorns and thistles. Now when Isaiah speaks here. Burning sulfur and blazing pitch.

We're meant to think about. God's judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah. And the cities of the plain. In Genesis 19. God destroyed those people with fire.

And burning sulfur. And reduced their land to scorched earth. A salty barren wasteland. Where nothing grows. Now it hadn't always been like that.

In fact. The plain was the place of prosperity. And lushness. You remember when Abraham said to his nephew Lot. We're too crowded here together. You choose which way you want to go.

And all go the other. And Lot looked down. Towards Sodom and the plain. And what did he see? A well watered land. Like the garden of the Lord.

It was like a garden. Lush. Green. Fruitful. But man without God. Brought judgment down upon himself. And his land. And again.

Man moves. From blossoming garden. To barren. Wasteland. Now the same thing happened with Edom. And what Isaiah is doing.

Is he's extending this picture. This very common picture. That we've seen several times now. As I've laid it before you. He's extending that picture. Right out. To the end of the age.

Man without God. Turns his life. His world. And his eternity. Into a barren wasteland. And that's where this whole world order.

In rebellion against God. Is headed. To a judgment. Of fire. And burning sulfur. The apostle Peter writes. In his second letter. Chapter 3.

In verse 7. The present heavens. And earth. Are reserved. For fire. Being kept. For the day. Of judgment. And destruction. Of ungodly.

Men. The fire. Is for the ungodly. Men. But also. For their environment. The earth. And so.

The New Testament. Uses these same words. In describing. Hell. A lake of fire.

And burning sulfur. The ultimate. Result. The end. Station. Of all. Who live. Without God. In this world. And it reminds us.

That even after this world. Is destroyed. There is still hell. To pay. For sinners. Outside of Jesus Christ. Fire.

And burning sulfur. But someone says. But surely. This is symbolic. Language. John. Well. Let me grant you. That. For the moment. Perhaps it is.

Symbolic. But in the Bible. Reality. Is never less. Than the symbol. Never less.

Than the symbol. That represents it. So if. The symbol. Is fire. And burning sulfur. What. Is the reality.

Of eternal judgments. May none of you. Ever. Know. The answer. To that question. What's the duration.

Of God's judgment. Well. Verse 10. Tells us. Of this burning pitch. It will not be quenched. Day. Night. And day. It's smoke. Will rise forever.

From one generation. To another. It will lie. Desolate. No one will ever. Pass through it again. You know. Those are the very same words. That Jesus uses. And the New Testament uses.

To describe. The duration of hell. Eternal. Punishment. Everlasting. Destruction. Fire. That never goes out. A worm. That never dies. Revelation.

14. 10. Those who drink. Of the wine. Of God's fury. Which has been poured. Full strength. Into the cup. Of his wrath. Will be tormented. With burning sulfur. And the smoke.

Of their torment. Rises. Forever. And ever. There is no rest. Day. Or night. So. The picture.

That. Isaiah. Is holding up. Before us. In chapter 34. Is one of God's judgment. And it is total. It extends. Not only to man. But to his environment. And its duration.

Is forever. And ever. And Isaiah. Returns. To this theme. Of God's demolishing. Of Edom. In verse 11. At the end. He says. God will stretch out. Over Edom.

The measuring line. Of chaos. And the plumb line. Of desolation. Those two words. Chaos. And desolation. Are the two words.

Found in Genesis 1. 2. Where God says. Now the earth. Was formless. And void. Empty. And it's as if.

In judging. God is reversing. Creation. Back into that. Void. Emptiness. Meaninglessness. From which. He by his spirit.

Brought it. Into. Vibrant. Creation. That's what he does. With. The land. Of Eden. A desolate. Wasteland.

People are vanished. Both high and low are gone. And so instead of people. There will be. Weeds. And wild animals. Verse 13. It'll be overrun. With thorns. And nettles. And brambles.

All symbols. Of God's curse. Edom. Will become. The haunt. Of jackals. And hyenas. And wild goats. Desert. And night creatures. Screech owls. Ravens.

And falcons. They'll all be there. Each. With. Its mate. Verse 15. Ends. Now that's a. That is a. Horrendous. Picture. Of.

Of. Everything. That man. Has built up. That is going to be. Devastated. And brought down. To this. Can it really. Happen. Could. Edom. That. That basically.

I mean. It was. It was green. And lush. Could. Could it really be. Reduced. To this. This. Barren. Wilderness. I mean. Don't we.

Struggle. With that. When we read. Passages. Like this. Week. And. And all. That experience. Has ever shown us. Is. Things just go on. Day after day. And we. The news anchorman.

Says. We'll see you back here. Tomorrow night. But one day. There will be no. Tomorrow night. Do we believe that. That. That there will be.

Such devastation. Coming upon. This earth. Judah had trouble. Believing it. And so. What Isaiah does. Is he ends. This chapter. With.

The absolute. Certainty. Of this. Judgment. Verse 16. Look in the scroll. Of the Lord. And read. None of these. Will be missing.

Not one. Will lack. Her mate. What gives. Isaiah. Such. Confidence. That every. Word. Word. Of judgment. Will come true. Well.

Because they're. The Lord's. Own words. Look it up. In the scroll. He says. For it. Is his. Mouth. That has given. The order. And his. Spirit.

Will. Gather. Them. Together. Now. This whole thing. Should. Should bring. To mind. Another. Day of. Universal.

Judgment. That happened. To this earth. When. God's. God's. God's. Own. Spirit. Had. No. Trouble. At all. Gathering. Together.

All. The animals. Of the earth. Two. By. Two. Each. With. Its. Own. Mate. In. Noah's. Day. Before. The flood. Destroyed. The.

Then. Known. World. And. And. Isaiah. Is. Reminding. Them. Of. This. God. Who. Speaks. Judgment. Is. The one. Who. By. His. Spirit. Will. Bring. It. About. Now.

If. Isaiah. Is. Just. Another. Crazy. Man. Spouting. Off. His. Doomsday. Predictions. Then. There's. Nothing. To. Fear. At. All. But. These. Are. The. Lord's.

Own. Words. And. What. His. Mouth. Orders. His. Spirit. Performs. And. Does. Now. That's.

An. Important. Insight. Into. Reality. Into. The. Way. This. World. Operates. Do. Know. This. Principle. Whatever. God. Says.

Will. Happen. Is. One. Hundred. Percent. Consistent. With. What. Does. Happen. His. Spirit. Will.

Do. Everything. That. His. Mouth. Has. Uttered. Has. He. Spoken. And. Shall. He. Not. Make. It. Good. And. What's. True. Of.

Edom. And. Its. Animals. Is. Also. True. Of. All. God's. Enemies. Indeed. All. Who. Forget. God. For. The. Wicked. Will. Be. Turned. Into. Hell. And. All.

The. Nations. That. Forget. God. Not. One. Of. Them. Will. Be. Missing. Now. That's. The. End. Of. The. Road. That.

We. Were. All. Born. On. We're. All. Born. On. The. Broad. Road. That. Leads. To. Destruction. We. Went. Astray. From. God's. Road. And. We. Took. Off. On. Our.

Road. The. Way. That. Seemed. Right. To. Us. It. Fit. Our. Desires. Which. Were. Sinful. It. Fit. Our. Likings. And. So. We. Went. This. Way. Now.

As. You're. Sitting. There. You. Are. Traveling. On. That. Broad. Road. And. Isaiah. Is. Saying. Look. At. This. Picture. Of. Where. It's. Headed. It's. Headed. To. Destruction. Destruction.

Destruction. A. Barren. Wasteland. That's. What. You're. Becoming. It's. Where. It's. All. Leading. For. You. This. Will. Be. Your. Eternal. Future.

But. In fact. It's. Not. The. Only. Road. Out. There. There's. Another. Road. Leading. To. Another.

Destination. And. 35. Follows. On. Its. Heels. And. Now. We. Have. A. Picture. Of. God's. Salvation. You've. Made. It. Through. The. Picture. Of. God's. Judgment.

Now. Listen. With. Me. As. We. Briefly. Go. Through. Chapter. 35. God's. Judgment. Or. God's. Salvation. This. Is. The.

Future. Of. Those. Who. Trust. In. The. Lord. And. Are. Saved. By. Him. And. This. Is. Where. They're. Heading. And. Where. It. All. Ends. For. Them. What. They. Have. To. Look. Forward. To. And. What.

We. Find. Is. That. The. Good. News. Is. As. Good. As. The. Bad. News. Is. Bad. Chapter. 35. Is. As. Glad. As. Chapter. 34. Is. Sad. And.

So. The. Pictures. Of. Heaven. And. Hell. Are. Brought. Side. By. Side. That. We. Cannot. Miss. This. Contrast. Here's. The. Judgment. We. Deserve.

Here's. The. Salvation. We. Receive. As. A. Free. Gift. And. Though. No. Eye. Has. Seen. And. No. Ear. Has. Heard. And. No. Mind. Has. Ever. Conceived. What. God. Is. Preparing. For. Those. Who.

Love. Him. Yet. God. By. His. Spirit. Gave. Us. This. Picture. To. Teach. Us. That. We. Might. See. What. Is. It. That. God. Is. Preparing. For. His. People.

That. We. Might. Seek. After. It. Run. After. It. And. Might. Indeed. Find. It. Notice. The. Extent. Of. God's. Salvation. We've. Seen. The. Extent.

Of. God's. Judgment. Notice. The. Extent. And. Reach. Of. God's. Salvation. First. Of. All. The. Whole. Creation. Will. Be. Transformed. Verses. One. And. Two. The. Desert. And.

Chapter. Thirty. Four. Barren. Wasteland. Is. To. Be. Transformed. Now. Into. A. Blossoming. Garden. All. Because.

Would. Happen. When. God. Comes. To. Save. His. People. You. You. You. Not. Be. A. Find. A. Blind. Person. A. Deaf. Person. A.

Lame. Person. A. Mute. Person. They. Will. All. Be. Seeing. Hearing. Leaping. Praising. And.

These. Miracles. That. Christ. Did. Upon. The. Body. When. He. Came. The. First. Time. Were. Just. A. Foretaste. Of. The. Things. To. Come. In. His. Eternal. Kingdom. They. Point. The.

Way. To. To. The. Way. It. Will. Be. When. He. Returns. In. Glory. And. You. Will. See. These. Very. Things. Again. Upon.

All. The. Redeemed. No. One. Living. In. Zion. Will. Say. I. Am. Ill. Chapter. 33. 24. So. Dear. Believers. With. Chronic. Physical.

Problems. Remember. He. Is. Coming. And. He. Will. Deliver. You. This. You. Who. Are. Feeling. The. Infirmities.

Of. Old. Age. Coming. Upon. You. Upon. Your. Body. And. The. Heartaches. And. And. The. Sadness. That. It. Brings. And. The. Separation. The. Death.

Of. The. Body. Brings. This. Is. Your. Future. Read. It. Meditate. On. It. Go. On. Trusting. Waiting. On. The. Lord. Because.

The. Lord. Will. Transform. Our. Lowly. Bodies. So. That. They. Will. Be. Like. His. Glorious. Body. When. He. Comes. Again. What. Transformations. He. Will. Work. The. Whole. Creation.

The. Body. Of. Believers. And. The. Chapter. Ends. With. A. Highway. With. Travelers. On. A. Highway. To. Heaven. Reaching. Their. Destination. Now. We've. Seen. This. Highway.

Before. In. Isaiah. Chapter. Eleven. It's. The. Same. Road. That. Jesus. Spoke. Of. In. His. Day. It's. The. Way. That. Leads. To. Life. In. The. Heavenly. Zion. The. New. Jerusalem. That.

Comes. Down. Out. Of. Heaven. Revelation. 21. Verse. Eight. Says. And. A. Highway. Will. Be. There. It. Will. Be. Called. The. Way. Of. Holiness. It's. A. Holy. Way.

That. Leads. To. The. Holy. City. Friend. It's. A. Holy. Way. That. Leads. To. The. Holy. City. It's. The. Narrow. Way. The. Highway. Of.

Holiness. That. Leads. To. Life. And. Notice. Who's. Not. On. It. The. Unclean. Are. Not. Journeying. On. It. No. It's. For. Those. Who. To.

Walk. In. The. Way. Of. Holiness. No. Lion. Will. Be. There. Or. Any. Ferocious. Beast. Will. Get. Up. On. It. Constant. Threats. To. Farmers. And.

Shepherds. In. Palestine. Sources. Of. Anxiety. But. Not. Then. Not. There. And. It. Speaks. Of. The. Total. Protection. From. All. Harm. The. Safe. Passage. All.

The. Way. To. Heaven. So. We've. Been. Told. Who. Won't. Be. There. The. Unclean. The. Wicked. Fools. The. The. Ferocious. Beast. Well.

Who. Are. On. This. Highway. And. He. Tells. Us. At. The. End. Of. Verse. Nine. Only. The. Redeemed. Will. Walk. There. The. Ransomed. The. Redeemed.

Ones. The. Blood. Bought. Ones. Those. Purchased. By. God. Made. His. By. The. Payment. Of. A. Price. That. Was. Ode. And.

When. The. Cost. Of. Our. Salvation. Was. Damnation. Jesus. Christ. Paid. It. In. Full. He. Redeemed. Us. He. Paid. The. Price. That. Redeemed.

Us. From. Hell. And. Peter. Tells. Believers. You. Were. Redeemed. Not. With. Perishable. Things. Like. Silver. Or. Gold. But. With. The. Precious. Blood. Of. Christ. As.

Of. A. Lamb. Without. Blemish. Or. Spot. And. That's. The. Only. Reason. Anybody. Is. On. This. Highway. To. Heaven. The. Only. Reason. Because.

That. When. We. Were. Under. God's. Curse. For. Our. Sin. Christ. Redeemed. Us. From. The. Curse. Of. The. Law. By. Becoming. A. Curse. For. Us. As.

It. Is. Written. Curse. It. Is. Everyone. Who. Is. Hung. On. A. Tree. So. Chapter. Thirty. Five. Is. My. Future. And. Not. Chapter. Thirty. Four. Why? Because.

He. Suffered. All. The. Torments. That. Would. Have. Been. Mine. Forever. And. Ever. And. As. He. Did. He. Was. Paying. The. Price. To. Redeem. Me. To. Ransom. Me. From. Hell.

And. To. Purchase. Me. For. God. It's. The. Redeemed. The. Blood. Bought. Ones. Who. Are. On. The. Highway. To. Heaven. And. Only. Them. And. What. A. Future.

Awaits. Them. When. They. Arrive. Verse. 10. The. Ransom. To. The. Lord. Will. Return. They. Will. Enter. Zion. With. Singing. Everlasting. Joy. Will. Crown. Their. Heads. Gladness.

And. Joy. Will. Overtake. Them. And. Sorrow. And. Sighing. Will. Flee. Away. Got a question. For you. How many.

On. This. Highway. To. Heaven. Are. Going. To. Make. It. All. The. Way. There. Not. Everybody. In. This. I ask.

This. Question. How many. On. This. Highway. Will. Make. It. All. The. Way. Home. To. Heaven. Well. The. Answer. Is. All. Of. Them. Because.

Every. Single. One. Of. Them. Are. Redeemed. They. Been. Bought. With. A. Price. The. Blood. Of. Jesus. These.

Are. Promises. Of. God. They. Will. Enter. Zion. Will. Will. Will. Five. Times. He. Says. It. To. Overcome. Any. Doubts. In. Our. Minds.

As. God. Is. True. This. Is. The. Future. Of. All. The. Ransomed. Of. The. Lord. All. For. Whom. Jesus. Shed. His. Blood. Every. Single.

One. Will. Arrive. Safely. In. Heaven. At. Last. It. Is. Impossible. That. They. Should. Perish. In. Hell. Because. He. Died.

Instead. Of. Them. It's. Impossible. That. They. Should. Ever. Suffer. God's. Wrath. In. Hell. Because. Jesus. Was. Punished. With. God's. Wrath. On. The.

Cross. In. Their. Place. And. God. Will. Never. Punish. Sin. Twice. He. Would. Not. Be. Holy. If. He. Did. So. He. Will. Never. Punish.

Sin. All. The. Redeemed. Will.

Make. It. To. Heaven. Because. He. Paid. The. Price. In. Full. To. Redeem. Them. And. They. Are. His. So. Jesus. Says. In. John. Six. This. Is. The. Will. Of. Him. Who. Sent. Me.

That. I. Shall. Lose. None. Of. All. That. He. Has. Given. Me. But. Raise. Them. Up. At. The. Last. Day. Not. One. For. Whom. Christ. Died. Will. Be.

Missing. All. Will. Arrive. Home. In. The. Last. Day. Safe. And. Sound. And. Happy. And. That's. The. Third. Thing. That.

We. See. With. Regard. To. The. Extent. Of. This. Salvation. Believers. Emotions. Will. Be. Transformed. From. Sorrow. And. Sighing. To. Gladness. It.

In. The. Sunday. School. Hour. What. What. Caused. You. Sadness. This. Week. What. Interrupted. Your. Joy. This. Month. This. Year. What.

Caused. You. To. Sigh. Halfway. Through. The. Day. With. Weariness. With. Longing. With. Anxiety. That's. Part. And. Parcel. Of. What. It's. Like.

To. Live. In. This. Cursed. World. Even. For. Christians. Yes. We. Know. Joys. But. They're. Mixed. With. Sorrow. And. Sadness. And. Sighing. But.

As. You. Enter. Heavenly. Zion. All. Sorrow. And. Sighing. Will. Flee. Away. And. Gladness. And. Joy. That's. Been. Pursuing. You. All. Of. Your. Life. And. Giving. You. Taste.

Along. The. Way. Will. Overcome. You. It'll. Catch up. With. You. And. It will. Swallow. You. Up. And. Overwhelm. You. Forever. And. Ever. How long. Will. It. Last. What's. The. Duration. Of.

God's. Salvation. Everlasting. Joy. Uninterrupted. Never ending. Joy. That's.

The. Duration. Of. God's. Salvation. And. That's. The. Extent. Of. It. It. Reaches. All. The. Way. To. The. Whole. Creation. And.

To. Man's. Emotional. Experience. Is. This. Your. Future. Is. Is. Chapter. 35. The.

Destination. Of. The. Road. That. You're. On. It. Could. Be. Two. Roads. Two. Destinations. But. Only. One. Redeemer. If.

You're. Trusting. In. Christ. This. Is. Your. Endgame. This. Is. How. It. Will. Be. Forever. For. You. Oh. Trust. In. This. Savior. Lost. Friend. No.

One. Can. Trust. In. The. Savior's. Blood. And. Ever. Perish. They. Show. By. Their. Faith. In. Him. That. They. Are. The. Very.

Ones. For. Whom. He. Shed. His. Blood. To. Redeem. Them. And. There's. A. Closing. Application. For. Believers. We. We. Leaped. Over. It. In.

Verses. Three. And. Four. You. See. This. Picture. Was. Held. Up. In. Front. Of. Judah. At. A. Time. When. They. Had. Plenty. To. Sorrow. And. Sigh. About. And.

Assyria. Was. Knocking. On. The. Door. And. It. Destroyed. All. Their. Fortified. Cities. And. Here's. This. Picture. Of. The. End. Of. The. Righteous. Of.

All. Who. Trust. In. The. Lord. This. Is. How. It's. Going. To. End. Up. For. You. Here's. Your. Future. And. Then. He. Says. In. Verses. Three. And. Four. Strengthen. The. Feeble. Hands. He.

Will. Come. To. Save. You. Believers. We're. Still. In. This. Sin. Filled. World. Where. We. Know. Plenty. Of. The. Cause. For. Anxiety. And.

Fear. And. Sorrow. And. Sadness. And. Sighing. And. Aches. And. Pains. In. Our. Body. And. We. Need. To. Remember. Where. We're. Going. And.

Isaiah. Says. That. Will. Change. Your. Attitude. Along. The. Way. That's. That's. What. Gives. You. Hope. To. Keep. Going. To. Get. Up. Another. Day. And. And. To.

Look. Forward. To. What. God. Will. Do. There's. Always. More. Of. God's. Salvation. To. Experience. Than. What. We. Have. Yet. Experienced. And. That. Will. Be. True. For. The. Eons.

Of. Ages. We'll. Never. Get. To. The. End. Of. God's. Salvation. And. So. There. Ought. To. Be. A. Note. Of. Expectancy. In. Our. Lives. As. We're. Living. As.

We're. Looking. And. Trusting. In. The. Lord. To. Come. And. Deliver. Us. And. To. Help. Us. There's. That. Expectancy. That. Any. Moment. He. Could. Say. Now. I. Will. Arise. And. Come. To. Their.

Aid. And. Notice. The. Promises. Your. God. Will. Come. To. Save. You. He. Comes. To. You. Right. Where. You. Are.

Right. In. The. Midst. Of. Your. Messes. And. Your. Problems. With. His. Salvation. Trust. Him. Expect.

His. Help. And. Encourage. One. Another. With. These. Words. Say. To. Each. Other. Be. Strong. Brother. Go. On. Sister. It's.

Worth. It. We're. Just. Around. The. Bend. And. We'll. Be. There. Keep. Trusting. In. Christ. Keep. Waiting. For. And. Keep. Walking. In. His. Ways. He. Will. Come. To.

Save. Us. You. Will. Enter. Zion. Was. Singing. This. Glorious. Future. Will. Be. Yours. For. The.

Pilgrims. Find. Their. Father's. House. Jerusalem. The. Blessed. So. Onward. Brothers. And. Sisters. Onward. With. A. Hope. With. This. Picture. Before.

Us. That. For. Jesus. Sake. Will. Be. Our. Eternity. Let's. Encourage. One. Another. Even. As. We. Sing. To. Each. Other. Rejoice.

Give. Thanks. And. Sing. Number. Five. Hundred. Two. Father. We. Thank. You. For. These. Pictures. This. Morning. We.

Thank. You. For. Both. Of. Them. We. Need. Both. Of. Them. Lord. You. Know. That. And. That's. Why. You. Given. Them. To. Us. We. Wouldn't. Sing. As. We. Have. If.

We. Didn't. Know. What. We. Been. Saved. From. As. Well. As. What. We. Been. To. You. And. We. Wouldn't. Sing. If. We. Didn't. Realize. That. It. Was. All. Because. Of.

The. Redeeming. Blood. Of. Jesus. That. We're. On. This. Road. That's. Leading. To. Heaven. And. That. We. Will. Certainly. Arrive. There. If. We're. On. This.

Road. Because. Blood. Has. Been. Spilt. To. Purchase. Us. For. God. Thank. You. For. The. Things. That. Are. That. Are. Spoken. To. Us. Here. Keep. This. Vision.

Before. Us. To. See. What. It. Will. Be. Like. When. Jesus. Christ. Returns. And. Receives. All. The. Glory. That. He. So. Deserving. Of. And. We. Ourselves. Will.

Share. In. His. Glory. And. In. That. Full. Salvation. We. Plead. For. Others. Who. Are. Still. To. Face. Your. Endless. Wrath. Have. Mercy. On.

Them. This. Day. And. Bring. Them. To. Put. Their. Trust. In. This. One. Redeemer. For. Sinners. Even. Jesus. In. Whose. Name. We. Ask. Amen.
